Anna and Ren Colabella are from a long line of hairstylists both here and in Italy.
Anna started in the industry working in the city centre of Wolverhampton from a very early age and went on to open the first salon in 1984 age 19.
Due to the success of the company Colabella then expanded into a second branch, when in 1992 Anna's brother Ren joined the company.
Working in partnership with each other and their talented team, everyone at the company is very passionate about the industry.
Customer service and satisfaction have been the driving force behind the success of the business.
Most recently Colabella opened their third salon specialising in beauty, nails and tanning.
All the team are trained to the advanced certificate and level 3 City & Guilds, which runs alongside with the salons continued training plan.

Meet the team...
Kirsty Senior Stylist, Team Leader & Media Creator
Kirsty came to the salon in 2002 and qualified in 2004 and became the teams colour technician. She later changed roles and became a full-time stylist, she now works as a senior stylist and team leader. Kirsty and Ren married in 2014 and she loves working in a family environment along with a great team of colleagues. Kirsty always strives to make her clients happy. She has trained in many colouring techniques, permanent straightening treatments and hair extensions including Balmain, rapture and many other application methods.
Her passion is colouring.

Amanda Senior Stylist
After qualifying in 1989 and working at a previous salon Amanda joined the team in 1994. Amanda is one of our longest serving members of staff with 30years experience in the industry. She’s still as passionate about her job and making her clients happy as when she started. She loves cutting hair and has a great knowledge of curly hair from personal experience of maintaining her own curls.
She has attended many courses over the years including ‘Matrix’ creative cutting and colour courses at ‘wella’ academy in Manchester.
Amandas loves cutting short hair.
She loves the Matrix Shape Switcher product.
Steph Senior Stylist & Team Leader
Steph has been working at colabella hair since 2005. she joined the team as a Saturday girl and went on to do an apprenticeship and worked her way up to a stylist. she has also gained many qualifications in beauty. she is now the salons supervisor.
Steph really enjoys meeting people and finding out about them, also about what they want to achieve with their hair.
her favourite part of her job is colouring and making people feel good about themselves through their hair.
Gemma Senior Stylist
Gemma first joined the team in 2002 where she began her apprenticeship, she then worked as a stylist until she left in 2013 when she had a career break and had a baby boy. She has since moved back to wolverhampton and has returned to Colabella hair as one of our senior stylists. Gemma has also gained qualifications in hair extensions, and beauty including nail extensions and waxing treatments.
She enjoys colouring and loves cutting funky short hairstyles.
Sarah Stylist
Sarah started her hair and beauty training while still at school qualifying in her level 1 beauty and continuing on to do her level 2 hairdressing. She has been with colabella hair for 2 years working as a junior stylist. she has also trained in barbering.
she loves to colour hair.
Sarah favourite product is the Matrix Keratindose.
Dagmara Salon Assistant
Dagmara first came to the salon to do work experience in spring 2018, after enjoying her time with us she joined the team on a weekend as a salon assistant. She has gained more confidence and experience in hairdressing and is now about to begin her apprenticeship with us.
Her favourite part of the job is seeing clients happy with the results they receive.
Paula Receptionist
Paula started her hairdressing apprenticeship while at school, she left school in 1985 and joined colabella hair in 1987 and continued her apprenticeship to qualify inNVQ levels 1,2 and 3. she briefly left colabella hair when she moved to scotland, upon her return to wolverhampton she rejoined the team as salon receptionist.
Paulas favourite part of hairdressing hair ups, and her favourite product is Matrix Over Achiever.
Olivia Salon Assistant
Olivia joined the team as a salon assistant on the weekends in May 2017. Being around the salon her whole life meant she was already in love with the job. She enjoys building relationships with clients and developing her skills in hairdressing. Working at the salon has made her a more confident person and has improved her communication skills.
She enjoys making the clients salon experience as relaxing as possible and finds it rewarding to give them a great service.
As our youngest member of the team she is always working on learning new skills and is showing amazing potential on the salon floor.
Amber Salon assistant
Amber joined the team in 2015 after coming to us for work experience. she now works as one of our salon assistants on the weekends. She's a fantastic member of the team with her enthusiasm and efficiency in the salon.
Her favourite thing about her job is interacting with clients and working alongside such a talented and friendly team.
